I love that this series is starting to have more world building alongside the romance. Cassandra is a great character to have in this series since she’s an outsider when it comes the the thirteen. Her reactions seem the most human, as most of the thirteen tend to be numb to the more traumatic events. I love that Apollo fell first and has been doing his best over the years to not put Cassandra in an uncomfortable position since he’s her boss and apart of the thirteen. I knew going into this that this book serves as a means to further the plot and world building. However, when compared to the other three books, I can see how this one falls a little short. But in my opinion, it’s still a fun and easy read. I love how it ends as a more traditional romance with Apollo and Cassandra deciding to stay together. It also furthers my excitement for the rest of this series and where it will go.
