Because we know who The Butcher is early on, I wasn’t sure how I’d enjoy the story but it got my attention right away. I enjoyed the pacing of the story and at times I found myself not wanting to put the book down. The Butcher’s crimes are pretty gruesome so check content warnings.
Matt and Sam as a couple was frustrating to read. He was a complete jerk to Sam and it felt like she ignored every red flag when it came to him.
Overall, this was a wild ride. One I did enjoy.
