mikasa backstory and truly insane titan lore development with a abnormals.
eren melting out of that berserker titan’s nape continues to be an award winning GAG
seriously missed out on that mikasa panel
where she’s leading the soldier’s charge to get gas and has her blade held up

Attack on Titan volume 2 by Hajime Isayama continues the story of Mikasa, Eren, and Armin (as well as some other military troops in the same squad). Volume two is just as good as the first one, I really enjoyed all the twists. This is my second time reading this volume but I still enjoyed the pacing and surprises.

I don't want to say too much because that would spoil volumes one and two so I'll just rate the manga.

Overall, this was enjoyable and I'm excited to continue the series. I'm giving this volume 5 stars out of 5.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 Stars

This is more character driven than the last one because you get to know the main squad/ group of characters and how they interact with each other, but also at the end of the book there is a huge plot reveal
that is one of the biggest moments in the series: eren is alive, but he has turned into a Titan! but he has no idea he could do this

The story really picks up in the second volume, with a major backstory reveal showing the tragic circumstances of how Mikasa and Eren first met as children and how Mikasa became part of Eren's family.

From there's it's back to the action as a large group of titans swarm a military supply depot, trapping some soldiers inside, and leaving those outside without the ability to replenish the gas they need for their vertical movement gear.

Mikasa, unaware that Eren may already have been killed in action, leads a desperate attack, but help suddenly appears in a most unexpected form.

This was nonstop action with lots of surprising twists and some good character development, particularly for Mikasa.

Man I love Mikasa

I knew that titan was Eren from the very start cuz he had Eren's hair lol. Although I thought it was more along the lines of Eren somehow gaining the powers to control titan corpses (looks like I wasn't too far off with that either 👀), and not actually turning into a titan.
And that part where they're stuck in the tower and Armin comes up with a plan? Chef's kiss I love Armin sm
Mikasa hugging Eren and listening to his heartbeat while Armin is holding Eren's left arm in wonder gahhhhhhhhh
