You don't need a whole book to tell you that overworking yourself can lead to health problems and stress you the f*ck out entirely. Less work and more leisure time would be awesome. Everyone knows that.

Still some good points and some interesting bits on the history of work. 2/5

I really liked the first part of the book that historically traces how we have led our lives and how we have managed to think that the way we view work, our time and money as natural. Especially coming to terms that the concept of work that we have today isn't and will never be natural to humans.

I think the recommendations were a little basic and only applicable with a large amount of priviledge, which is why I gave it three stars, and in general it felt like it just scraped the surface, but it was an enjoyable read nonetheless.

LOTS of history and a challenging read for at least the first half due to the history lesson.

Still recommend. Listen to the audio book if you're not really into history. There is good info here and a good breakdown of how to unhook from our toxic work culture.
