If you like true crime but would fall asleep in an anatomy class, I will say that it can read like a textbook quite often. I still think you should give it a shot, though! Her experiences are so unique due to being in a position unlike many others.

Parts of this were definitely more memoir than textbook, which is a good and ok thing for me. I liked it for how personable it made the story, but it also sometimes affected the pacing and made me wonder how certain cases could possibly be related to the body parts being discussed. It is also a very difficult read in terms of content, I had not read the trigger warnings beforehand and wish I had as there are very sensitive topics in this book.
I would recommend this book to fans of true crime and anatomy, although I am definitely more of the latter rather than the former (which did affect how I felt about some of the content). This is also a great read for anyone interested in science and research in general.
