A tad bit unfocused. Not M.C. Beatons' usual quality but enjoyable nonetheless.

Simon's parents were dead, like three books ago when Simon was introduced, weren't they?!

Oh, Agatha! I wish we could all make it all better for you...
This one was another excellent offering from Ms. Beaton, and these get better and better. Twisty, turny plotting, surprises sprinkled throughout, lovely character development in progress for some of the co-stars, and another beat in the long arc of Agatha's story. Rooting for her every step. Also, I love Bill Wong more and more.
On to the next one, after a couple of detours to cleanse the palate. :)

MUCH better than the last book in the series. Not great literature, of course, but at least this one was a fun quick read.

Simply awful. I only gave it two stars because I usually like Agatha Raisin, but this was miserable. Narration was all a complete jumble. I like the Hammish Macbeth series more because he is a much more likeable character. I just hope M.C. Beaton isn't going the way of Lilian Jackson Braun

As much as I love that M.C.Beaton always presents a showcase of domestic abuse against women, I despise her xenophobic insinuations, also present in each of her books.
One more thing related to the audiobook. Penelope Keith is the only Agatha Raisin for me. The voice became part of the character I just couldn't relate it to anyone else. This book wasn't narrated by her; a substantial part of the enjoyment of listening was lost.Sorry Davina Porter.
