I've probably read all that I ever will of it, or I'll do so in bits and pieces. Surely something that it's relevant to know the stories in, for references and culture etc.

The fanfic surpasses the original yet again. A derivative book heavily inspired by other works from the same time period which, in turn, have not become as popular. Luckily for the authors, some of those works have been out of print for a few millennia.
It varies wildly between being metaphor-heavy, story-driven, preachy... A wild ride for any reader. Some parts I liked, some I hated, some bored me and some were skipped entirely. If you thought the Star Wars fans can be dedicated, some of these texts spawned several fandoms which have been fighting and disagreeing for quite some time, with bloody results. Now that's stanning!
Contains questionable and mature content, definitely keep it away from children until they're older.

Not for everyone..
10 out of 10 would not recommend (personal opinion)
Too many trigger warning to count.
The plot just does not add up in my opinion.
Read it because I had to when I was a kid, very traumatising. Did not teach me compassion at all!

Rape, slavery, misogyny. For a second I thought I'd picked up 50 Shades of Grey instead of the bible. Alas, other than one or two nice wee stories, the writing is even worse than even EL James could manage.
I prefer my literature better crafted and without the highly racist, sexist and homophobic overtones.
Maybe the sequel will be better...

Some of the fight scenes were good, but I found the story line to be choppy. Character development was good. Overall it was okay but I'm not sure I'd read it again.

After about 128 weeks of Sunday reading passages, finally finished reading the King James version of the Bible! I read it mind you a little mindlessly, not completely taking in the words, and I intend to read it again with more concentration - but this has been a long wish of mine and I finally did it! I read the Bible through going for Sea Trials, shifting to Sweden, and everything in between. Out aloud at that. I can't believe I have read the Bible out aloud every week for the past two and half years - I intend to continue of course - this is not a book I intend to stop reading, but oh I'm so glad I've finished it at least once!
Proud of myself for getting myself through this. :)
