This memoir suffered from the usual issues a young persons memoir usually does, it comes across as a list of things happening with little to no reflection on them. If you are unaware of the experience of gender dysphoria and asexuality I could see you learning from this. But otherwise, I don't see much to write home about, let alone ban (!?!?)
I'm looking forward to more memoirs from trans and non binary people, hopefully this book and Elliot Page's Pageboy pave the way.

I fell in love with the work. It made me feel like I got a deeper understanding of things my partner talks about, being nonbinary and asexual, using words that I feel like she struggles to find at times. It helped me find some words for my own feelings and experiences too. I am so grateful to this work and it's author.

Oh wow. I have a lot of feelings about this one. As the parent of a non-binary kiddo I feel like this gave me some important insights. I also feel like as a human being it helped me be more empathetic to others in general, especially the asexual aspect. I read this on one sitting and think I will go back to it again and re-read, and I’m sure I will get even more out of it. There are passages I just want to highlight and share with the world, that hit me like a punch to the gut and actually made me exclaim out loud in understanding or agreement or amazement. Seriously everyone should read this. Only gripe is it ends kinda suddenly. Maybe there will be a part 2!
