A solid example of graphic memoir.  There is vulnerability and self-reflection.  The art style is great and there are some incredibly strong imagery choices that pack a punch.  My only complaint is that some threads of thought are introduced and then quickly glossed over.

I don't think I've ever seen a graphic novel memoir before, but I loved it. I honestly think this book is a lovely representation of queerness as a relatable outlet for many queer people and could be a nice way help explain or present queerness to those who are curious or questioning. Beautifully written and drawn.

i especially picked out this read because i saw a of the most-banned books in the us.
and the only „disturbing“ (quote from sources across the internet that explained why they banned this book) thing about this graphic novel are the horrible reviews by the TERs, transphobes or ignorant people on here.

this graphic novel depicts the process of gender-identity finding in a beautiful and relatable way that gives cis-gender people an opportunity to comprehend the struggles of trans* people in general and the author and eir journey more.
additionally, this book is very educational and e.g. explains the biological factors that determine whether someone is trans* in a way that is very easy to read.

i understand that this is for a bit of an older audience since it does have a few content warnings but these should just be pointed out, instead of banning the whole book.
