I had very high expectations of this book because I loved the concept so much but it took me way longer to read than expected & almost put me in a reading slump.. here’s why. The entries are yes very emotional and touching but my goodness if you have any hope in humanity this book will kill it almost immediately. I would say read if you are feeling morbid and want to sit with strangers who talk and complain excessively about their lives. Although some felt honest, I would say 80% felt so one sided (obviously because you are only getting one side of the story from each individual ). The book did get very repetitive for me too. Felt like tons of people just trying to get you to take their sides in their divorces ( when they’ve all had affairs & sound like horrible people) I also probably should’ve read this in increments instead of sitting down and reading 50 pages at a time. Would suggest to use as an in between book.
