I should have given up reading this but kept on in the hopes it would get better. Storyline was poorly executed, the majority of characters were vapid and even the one person who I thought had redeeming qualities ended up being just as obnoxious.

The pacing was weird as hell. For 3/4 of this book, there was so much being said, but nothing was actually happening. I did like the ending, but not enough to justify having to force myself through the majority.

Entertaining for sure! Seemed liked it wanted to have deeper messaging about happiness but it wrapped up a little too “perfectly”. I think this writer has promise though!

A solid 3 star book for me, didn’t hate it, didn’t love it. I saw a review recently that said it gave off Crazy Rich Asian vibes and I couldn’t agree more. Entertaining yet not relatable to my current lifestyle. Overall, an easy read and because I get to meet the author tonight, I’m excited to kind of get a little further into the story and the inspiration behind the characters, although some of them were easily identifiable IE: Bad Bunny & Robin from Peloton ❤️

It was fine. The prologue introduces a murder but it took until the last chapter for it to happen and it came out of nowhere. The story was entertaining throughout, but the ending felt too out of left field.

I really wanted to like this book, but it was so hard for me to get into it. It kind of gave me the vibes of the show, Friends from College, but without any of the humor or chemistry. I just wasn’t compelled by all the different storylines or the characters themselves.
