Really beautiful stream of consciousness - sad, and touching and a great representation of an anxious type with a constant internal monologue

found this quite enjoyable despite the experimental writing style. i also never read something so relatable about surviving a day at a dreaded job.

I absolutely bloody loved this!!! I've never read anything like this before and I thought it was amazing, really unique, funny at times but obviously quite horrible with the trauma that runs through the character's mind

it was like a quiet horror - a normal day but with something not quite right under the surface

Took me a minute to get into the style of this book but once I got in the zone I really felt it helped to immerse me in the main character's thoughts and experiences over the course of this day, as if I was living it with her. This was a painful read and the parts where she was rehearsing how to say what had happened and where it was popping up as an intrusive thought when she was doing other things were like memories for me rather than fiction. Well done. Confused about the toilet note writer, though, what was that about?
