I received a preview copy of this book from Netgalley.

The Butcher is a fast moving novel of suspense. Typical of the genre, the story does not dwell on character development, using stereotypical models of rogue cop, strong, but cute female lead and a couple of young handsome male love interests.

The Butcher is a quick read with a couple of surprising twists. If you enjoy reading thrillers, you will like this novel.

A taut thriller with some decent twists.

Points for the effort, but hard pass after that. The characters were just awful. It was painful to read some of the dialogue, and the number of times I simply cringed  was too high to count.

This was wildly entertaining. I enjoyed the multiple POVs we got (even though I hated 2/4 of the characters). A twist at the end had my jaw on the floor, I was not expecting that. This kept me hooked beginning to end!
