I liked the first book but I liked this better. Yes the first book had an interesting concept, but this book was more realistic. It was something I could see happening (tbh probably has).

I fell in love with all the characters. All their stories are all so sad. I loved the touch of the butterflies making there appearance in this book.

I love true crime podcasts and stuff to that nature so seeing the in-depth investigation was wonderful. I also loved see the psychological aspect of the killer.

I have to say it was kind predictable. I started to think logically why it couldn’t be one of the primary suspects. Then I started think it’s probably the person it ended up being.

This book was chefs kiss. I hope the other ones are just as good or even better.

I just love when a book ends and everything ties together. Or when the title of the book only makes sense at the end. This book is the second in the series and it definitely was an excellent addition. The writing was beautifully written, the story easy to follow, the plot a little predictable, but still nicely done. It was an independent story with ties and nods to the first book. The introduction of new and old characters made some parts a little confusing, but it all came together.
There were parts that kind of dragged, which makes this more of a medium-paced book.
Well written, rather graphic.
Unlike the first book, this story wasn't so much about trafficking as it was of a serial killer. Though I think that's what made it independent from the first book. The theme of the book is told through survivor eyes, which adds to the traumatic experiences.
T/W of suicide, eating disorders, rape, murder and stalking
