Picked this up as a palatte cleanser and maybe just found my fav January book??

The fake dating in this is SO GOOD. The chemistry was here for page one and I love how neither of them held onto the "hate" for long – noone was playing around here.

Goddd, Mason Leo, the way I'd climb that man (that's what Taylor said, too). Immediately in love.

All the backstory we got of their relationship 😭😭 gosh. The breakup was so painful but it was such a good pain you know??

Got tricked by the naked man on the cover but infertility and miscarriage is actually a pretty big & important part here, so definitely be aware of that! But it was all handled respectfully, no issue here.

Will definitely check up other books by the author :)

I really loved this book as it was easy to get through, however… I can’t give it 5 stars. The reasons being:
  1. Something that confused me throughout this book was the dialogue between Taylor and Mason in group settings. They’d be at a party talking to a group of people and then out of nowhere they’d be talking to each other explicitly. HOW DID NOBODY HEAR THEM?? And why couldn’t they ever have a normal conversation that wasn’t sexual? This happened so many times in the book, I swear it drove me insane.
  2. Taylor finds out Mrs. Nolan died and then it was just never mentioned again. I thought that woman meant everything to her but she never even went through a grieving process.
  3. It baffles me how forgiving Taylor was in the end. Girl, did you forget what he did to you or?? I felt like Taylor lacked some self respect, it was hard to watch her fall apart the way she did. I didn’t know a rich man creating your own private island was enough to forgive him but I digress.

In an alternate universe, Taylor ends up with Teacher Ben. That’s the direction I would have taken the book. Leo brothers who?? Girl, do better.
