One of my favorite thriller tropes is a book that all takes place in one day/night. The compressed time period adds to the suspense, imo. This is one of those, and it was really well done, and engaging. The clues are there for you to figure out the mystery as it goes but it would be just as enjoyable just going along for the ride.
Moderate: Death, Emotional abuse, Panic attacks/disorders, Violence, Blood, Stalking, and Murder
Minor: Death, Infidelity, Kidnapping, and Alcohol

Trigger warnings for Tag You're Dead include: addiction, body horror; death, gore, infidelity, violence, blood, kidnapping, grief, parental death and murder.

I'm not always particularly into thriller and mystery stories, but I was intrigued by this one. A hundred contestants in a livestreamed game of Tag. A social media influencer. And a girl who's been dead for a year come back to haunt.
~
It's a multiple point of view book, which I generally find a little bit disorientating and difficult to follow, which didn't change for this book either. But with murder mystery books, they typically do have multiple characters and suspects therefore there has to be different points of view throughout to find out what they're thinking as more information comes out, how and why each of them are suspects.
~
I won't spoil the ending or any of the major plot points, but I was genuinely shocked as every piece of new information came out, and when it revealed who actually did it, it didn't really strike me as obvious.
~
Ultimately, none of them were particularly good people for various reasons, but one really was worse than the others.
