I like the military special forces team romance books typically. But this special force team’s dialogue reads like a bunch of ADHD teenagers. It’s not clever or witty banter, it’s just over-sexualized and dumb.

Also, who gets surprised at blackmailers using bad stuff to get money, like is this your first day?? That is the literal definition of blackmail, why are you so surprised?

The characters are all over the place,and the relationship between the two MCs is also all over the place. I was waiting for it to get better and it just kept getting worse.

The book is just "meh", but the dad is way too evil, too much angst.

It was a cute enough story.

I enjoy Omega mpreg stories, this one was just okay. Preston was spoiled and Noah seemed a little dense.

I think this story would have been better with more world building and more of an actual story.

It was cute enough that I will read the next book because it is free with my KU.

Found the book on storytel;
It’s been a while for me reading something omegaverse-y
And this had some huge plot point I would consider “out of character”
I thought about dnf’ing but I was around 60ish percent and sometimes I also want to know how the behavior is ‘explained’ but I didn’t vibe with this one tbh.

I liked this story, but I would have liked it more if it was a little bit longer and with more details.
The fact that all this happens in just a few days, leaves me a little bit puzzled. I understand the insta-love as it's an omegaverse and they are fated mates, but all the rest is really too quick.
As for the plot and the story with Preston's family is ok, I guess, even the misunderstandings were fine.
I hope the other books will be more developed than this one.

This is another recent read I feel conflicted on. It seemed very predictable and fell flat, and the entire story itself felt rushed. I feel like we didn't actually get to really know Noah or Preston, because there was just too much happening at once and they were just suddenly thrown into a relationship with no development. The idea felt like a typical Alpha/Omega situation, but the overall execution felt sloppy (not that I've really read many Alpha/Omega stories, but I'm not entirely new to the genre). Honestly, the reason I want to continue this series is because the side characters are kind of intriguing. A little generic, but they popped off the page more than Noah or even Preston did. I will say, however, I love Ray and Justin so much. They're both sassy and cute together and I really want to see more of them. Overall, a pretty meh but fast read.

It started out well, but the romance was lost in the bickering, and the conclusion came around much too quickly.
