I really liked the portrayal of the chaos in Juliette's mind and the fast-paced style fit the book.
But I couldn't yet bond with any of the characters expect
Furthermore there wasn't much depth to what happens in those two weeks before Juliette planned to escape with Adam. What was she doing? More importantly, what was Warner doing with her? I would've liked to see some more developme
nt of the details.
I will continue the series in the hopes that the writing style will become better.

The world building is underwhelming, not very explored or built up. It’s probably the weakest part of the story, although it’s not really noticeable until book 3.
The romance is interesting! While it is definitely one of the leading aspects, Juliette doesn’t really prioritize it(very refreshing for a teen book!). I’m not the biggest fan of romance and it didn’t really detract any enjoyment for me!
The best part of the book/series was Juliette. She is definitely too insightful and mature for her age, especially when she grew up as she did, but I found her attitude toward the love interest refreshing. I found her sense of loyalty and trust issues to be well written, and her iron will and stubbornness was very satisfying. Love a female led who’s unafraid to cause problems or be loud! She’s very well rounded, Mafi does a great job of making her feel real.
Definitely a very solid read!
