Since reading through this earlier in the month, I've already re-read bits and sat through auditions and discussed it at length...so my opinion has changed and probably will change. BUT I'm going to try to recall my initial re-reading after many years: surprise at the appearance of so many well-known lines and confirmation why so many have Lady Macbeth on their bucket list. With most plays, it seems, re-readings result in deeper understandings and fonder feelings.

Reading William Shakespeare is not an easy task. Even though this book took so much energy from me, I really enjoyed the story.
