Re-read 5/31/17: Still so sad this is over :( although I will say upon re-reading this, I am a bit more aware of some problematic elements that went on during this book, so I'm knocking off a star. Will probably go into that further in my May Wrap-Up in a few days.

Original read: Thus concludes one of my favorite series of all time. I loved this SO MUCH and I am so sad that it's over :( I JUST WANT MORE

Seriously??? Is this real? Is this actually HAPPENING? How did I not know this sooner????????

I'm so excited it's unreal. When this comes out, i'm binge reading this entire series again and it's going to be beautiful. My heart is happy.

Update: * 4.5 stars * maybe not as good as the original 6 books, but an awesome addition to one of my favourite series.

It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. As a young adult, Suze's personality became insufferable and shallow. Also, too much emphasis on the politically correct movement. I mean, "NCDP"? Just call it a damn ghost! Also, pretty anti-climactic ending to a great series. Should have just ended with Twilight.

I have never struggled to get into one of Meg Cabot’s books. They are not only bingeable and gripping reads, but the writing style sucks you right into the action and before you know it, you have finished the book in one sitting. While I didn’t finish this book in one sitting, I did fly through the pages, but with that said, I didn’t particularly like this novel. The saving grace of this book was the plot line with the triplets- they added so much depth and intrigue. Suze’s actions, on the other hand, consistently irked me, and Paul was super creepy and gross (but what else is new?). It was cool to see Suze and Jesse in the future, but this book definitely didn’t leave me with the same feelings I had when I read the original series.

3/5 stars.

For several reasons I took a while to finish this. Most of them personal.

I liked this book, but felt like the main character (who is supposed to be grown up here) hadn’t learned anything since she was younger. She kept making the same mistakes like not telling Jesse what was going on.
Also, I really hoped we were done with one character in particular, but then they occupied much of this book.

Towards the end of the book I finally felt like they started to learn something from their past. Both Suze and Jesse. The latter half was better than the first half.

It was an ok book.

Eep! I'm totes freaking out right now. I still can't get over the fact the Remembrance is the newest book to one of my favorite series, let alone that I just finished reading it.

... and it was absotively posilutely amazing!

The plot was awesome, as usual! It is so hilarious and relieving that Suze has not changed one bit, even though it's been many years since the previous book. I had forgotten how much I adored her wittiness, sarcasm, innocent ignorance, and overall roundabout (and dangerous) way of solving problems.

Suze is, of course, also frustrated with the lack of physical intimacy between her and Jesse (nothing's changed!) which is hilarious. It does help that Jesse is no longer dead, but she still wishes he weren't such a gentleman...

While tending to a student, Becca, Suze is approached by her first ghost - a sweet, charming, and angelic little girl.... who tears apart Suze's office and later tries to drown her in a swimming pool. The girl's been dead for a while and is fiercely protective of Becca. It's up to Suze to discover the connection between Becca and the mystery of the little girl's death, as well as dealing with someone she never thought she'd hear from again - Paul Slater.

Just like the previous books, there's plenty of drama - good and bad - all around. A lot of former characters are reinstated, while newer ones are introduced! I'm so happy that Cabot decided not to change the characterizations too much. It's like there was never the approximate-decade gap between the publishing of the previous book and this one - as well as the gap in the series' timeline.

I felt like crying at times. I never realized how much I missed these characters - and kicking ghost-butt!

Remembrance is a must-read filled with action, frustration, mystery, love, humor, and just pure-awesomeness! If you liked the previous books, I guarantee you'll enjoy this one!

Happy reading!!! =)

It's been awhile since I've even thought about this series but you can sort of read it as a standalone. I enjoyed this one even though it took me a minute to familiarize myself with the characters. Fun and quick read.

I'm really hoping that was not the final book ever. I could read about Jesse and Suze forever. Overall, it was a great book.

I'm a little frustrated that Suze has not learned from the past though. She consistently lies and hides things from Jesse. Then she interprets him being hurt as him being angry. She's honestly stupid in that aspect. I want a book where she sees Jesse as her partner and not someone that she always needs to protect.

I do love this series, really. And i love the characters, who were aged up but managed to retain their personalities well from previous books. It just felt a little tiny bit like it dragged - not that it wasn't all interesting and fun, but this book was almost double the length of the others (with small font!) and it sort of didn't need to be. Like, for example, we hear from Paul Slater 5 pages in but don't meet him for 250 pages. So some of the pacing was just a bit weird bc there was a lot going on. (and, as much as i hate him, i also sort of love paul). But overall it was really nice.
