While I have issues with a couple things in here (I would’ve DNF’d any other book with them) ultimately, the story prevailed. This was a lot of fun and I enjoyed revisiting this beloved world. Also, Cabot really pulls you in! I couldn’t put it down.

Reading this was like coming home. Though it was the PJO series that got me into reading, it was The Mediator series that was my first taste of YA. I loveeee Suze so much (albeit she's a bit of a Mary Sue-z) and it was just awesome coming back into her butt-kicking, foul-mouthed life. Seeing alive!Jesse made me so happy, even if he was slightly controlling ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Hot damn, I was not expecting all the ~*~sExUaL tEnSiOn~*~, but I'm sure as hell not complaining *winkwink* (would I be weird if I wanted to date Jesse? God the way he speaks in Spanish! I get all... emocionado (that was an awkward spanish lesson lolol))

I have to say, I'm glad that Paul was reintroduced in this (hopefully not the last!) installment – in fact, he's basically first page! I have to say, I adored him when I was younger #dontjudgeme, but here he was a real creep (_ _。) (learn social etiquette, bruh!). I am ashamed to say that I forgot who a lot of the characters are – in fact, I wish we saw more of the secondary characters like her step-brothers (DOC YOU ARE TOO CUTE) and CeeCee and Adam (OT3) – but oh well, all the more reason to reread all 7 books!

The story was so typical Suze, but the mystery was a lot darker and more adult than touched upon in previous books. My only, and biggest qualm, is that Suze

Three and a half stars. The book started out good and it finish up good but lagged quite a bit in the middle. I enjoyed The Proposal more than Remembrance.

Wow. Just WOW! I loved this book! Meg Cabot managed to bring me back to the Mediator world even though time has been drastically fast forwarded. Suze Simon is the same way she was when she was in high school and it was hilarious to see her act the same exact way with a little more mature-ness (if that's even possible for her character LMAO!).

The storyline plays like how the previous books did: Suze stumbles upon a ghost that has some unfinished business so she goes out of her to make sure no one is harmed and that the ghost moves on. I really felt bad for this ghost because the way she was killed and the reason why she was killed was tragic.

I really liked how Suze wants to be a guidance counselor. She has a foul mouth and a mean demeanor but manages to have a certain charm that makes people like her. This skill she had helped one of the characters in the book and I really appreciated her compassion.

As always, the relationship between Suze and Jesse melts my heart. They are super devoted and romantically cheesy but in the best possible way.

However, there are some things that kept me from giving this book 5 stars:
1. Paul Slater is an egomaniac who TO THIS DAY still wants to be with Suze. At some point he should understand that NO MEANS NO!!! The whole book annoyed me because Paul kept thinking he could win Suze over when he needs to get a life. I really wish the book didn't spend so much time with Paul as a character because he is a waste of time.

2. The person who killed the ghost in the first place got away TOO easily. I will not say what happens, but he deserved more than what happened in the end. The book rushed to catch him without a satisfying payoff in my opinion.

3. A lot of the conflict between Suze and Jesse had to deal with Jesse wanting to wait til marrriage before giving up the goods and Suze continuing to keep secrets from Jesse. The "wait til marriage" thing upset Suze for no reason. People wait til marriage before intercourse, so I did not understand her problem. And Suze kept hiding things from Jesse to the point of annoyance.

4. Lastly, Paul Slater tried to threaten Suze by saying that a "curse" was coming for Jesse. But SPOILER ALERT that curse never came to fruition. It was a waste of a threat and was never actually a threat to begin with because we never got to ACTUALLY see if the curse was real or not.

Although it may seem like I have bagged on this book, I do love this series and the characters. This book series will continue to be a part of my teenage years and I hope Meg Cabot comes out with another book so we can enjoy it even more!

I always forget how much I love Meg Cabot. Suze is probably my favorite Meg Cabot heroine and this book did not disappoint. My only complaint was that Suze wasn't very respectful of Jesse.

Yikes. 3 stars because Suze's characters development sucked. Unpopular opinion but she belongs with Paul. She's just as crappy and manipulative as he is. She does nothing but lie to Jesse over and over and he just forgives her.

Remembrance lined up with what I remember about the original series. The dialogue can be a bit cheesy at times, but it had a pretty good story.

I wanted to love this book, I really did. But our good pal Suze was up to her same old tricks, and I found myself bored with the "conflict" that kept the narration going. Did I still love reading about Jesse and Suze? Of course. But I guess I just wanted more from this book than Cabot was willing to give.
