Great book! A classic, I guess, that I just got around to reading. Sci-fi circa 1912, written with style, knowledge, wit, and verve. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle doesn't disappoint. Worth the little bit of time it takes.

A ripping yarn that hasn't aged particularly well in terms of the entrenched racism and misogyny of early 20th century England. Entertaining but with caveats!

I was vert bored with it, after reading Jurassic Park: The Lost World, this story seem rushed and not researched. I can see the inspiration but it was a story more about ALL paleo time creatures rather than focused on one. Challenger was as someone said “Sherlockesk” but annoying nonetheless and not my most favorite character though I am surprised that the main character did not get what he wanted in the end and she ended up with a clerk. That was hilarious

I stumbled upon this book when looking up Michael Crichton's The Lost World, and thought, "Hey, that looks good." The only other Arthur Conan Doyle stories I've read are the Sherlock Holmes mysteries, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I'm so glad I read this book, as it was full of humor, adventure, and dinosaurs! A seriously good read.
