Another solid installment. The killer is pretty obvious early on, but it's more about how Eve catches them, with a side of character development.

As usual the book flows very well. The only ting i notice is that every suspect at some point is of "mixed race". I've listened or read every single book and that stands out alot. Otherwise, this is one of my favorite series. I truly enjoy every bit of it.

How am I ever going to make it to February when the next book comes out?!?
This is possibly my favorite series ever. I can't believe that it took me until now to read them. I have devoured them all, and this is one of my faves. The relationship between Eve and Roarke is fabulous and the whole universe of 2060s NYC has become a go-to spot for me.

Let's be real. It's book 49 in a series. If you're still with us, you obviously like the series.

I enjoyed this book for the characters - for the realism that was there with both the victims and those left behind. Even if the subject matter was raw and real - like it hasn't been in awhile.

My ONLY issue with the entire book was the reveal of the culprit before the end of the book. Sometimes it's a mystery... sometimes it isn't. This time I thought it was going to be and then BAM - reveal out of nowhere. Was not a fan of that.

Better story than the last couple of books in the series.

Lady Justice, indeed.

Not sure, but I think the plot of this installment was inspired by the rise of the #Me Too movement. Regardless, it was a powerful story, and the characters we all know and love were back and ready to stop a serial killer.

The In Death series never gets old. Not an easy feat when you’re at book #49. Incredible. Always great to have another adventure with Eve and Roake. This time they are working to solve the Lady Justice murders. We start off with the brutal death of Nigel McEnroy who seems on the surface to be the perfect man – successful business owner, good husband and loving father but he has a very dark side and is also a rapist and sadist. When someone parading as a female vigilante takes credit for the crime, the hunt begins. This is not a mystery that waits until the end to be solved. The actions of the killer and the means of capture keep things interesting. Always fun to escape into the futuristic world of this entertaining series. Many thanks to Edelweiss and St. Martin's Press for the ARC.

As always Eve Dallas caught her person, although this time we could in some ways empathize with the killer. Lady Justice felt she served a purpose in society, she is crazy, but I can understand her.
