I really loved this book. It had such great variety. eels, bats, toads, crabs, I could go on forever. It had a good plot line, and the ending kept me reading, well, the entire book did actually. I really liked the twist at the end. you don't even have to read redwall, but if you did it gives a nice punch at the end. anyway, defenitely recommended, defenitely.

I love that you can read these books in the publication order, even though it's not the chronological order, it still makes lots of sense and you still get a feel for the history and how the characters from each book are connected. I like this world that Jacques has created, it seems well thought out and very real.

Looking forward to the next book.

We just finished this tonight. I thoroughly enjoyed our second trip to Mossflower woods. I think this one is slightly better than its predecessor. I like the questing aspect of it better, and there are more characters to meet and enjoy. The villain isn't as good, but the good guys are better. We'll definitely come back to this series.

such a fun time with this one, I don't usually enjoy prequels but I couldn't help myself but constantly smile throughout reading this book, it's filled with references to Redwall, much more in-depth worldbuilding, and a cast of wildly colorful characters. this was an absolute joy to read and I cannot wait to get into the third book

Yes, this year I’m counting books I read with my kid. So? :)
