Coming of age novel discussing  friendship and love.
Topical characters: Pretty (they remind you on every page) but dorky girl and hot blond dude.
Certainly entertaining, but can sometimes be abrupt, particularly the ending, which is sad with the only purpose of being sad.
Unlike Romeo and Juliet, there's no reason to the death nor a lesson to learn from it, it just happens.

Didn't agree with some of the author's views.

This whole book felt like waiting for the other shoe to drop in the best way. I continuously waited for a moment of bliss before the tragedy to strike yet when it came, I was not ready. Those last ten or so pages tore me down and built me back up again. For an author to do that is a beautiful thing.

4.5 because of the tiara thing and the open ending
(I just really want to know if she’s pregnant and how she’ll move on from Finny’s death)

This book was so slow and mundane. Describing every day in the life and a teenager who thinks she’s in love.
You also know the ending from the start so I don’t know why people were shocked or crying.

The writing style was not my favorite ever, BUT I still really enjoyed the book. It did make me sob like a baby at the end though! It is beautiful and heartbreaking all at the same time. Just like how Autumn believes that sad things can be just as beautiful as happy things, this book is that way.
