That one paragraph really made the book. It happens so suddenly that if you read it fast then you will miss it…

I updated my Goodreads like 170 something pages in asking why people said this book tore them apart. Well…I found it. Does anyone have Dr. Singhs number?

Thsi books fel so true to a teenage experience. All the things left unsaid that should have been said, the hurt and heartbreak and desperate need to belong and to escape. The complete self-absorption and self-centeredness that is a teenage POV. I would have loved to have the POV of some or all of the other characters in the book, not just Finny but The Mothers or some of the different friends too.

Like some other reviewers I was frustrated with the ending. I mean, you know from chapter 1 how it is going to end and yet it felt, rushed and unfinished? The final twist also felt like an afterthought; something to soften the blow; but I don't feel like it added anything to the story overall.
