Such a fun fantasy adventure story! I haven't read much of this genre before but ten pages in I was immediately saying to myself how I wanted to read the rest of this author's work! Highly recommend the audiobook version as read by Mapuana Makia as it helped me understand the pronunciation of everything (plus she just does a great job).

Dragonfruit by Makiia Lucier has lovely world building with an interesting magic system, but the story was just so-so. I did like the romance, which was very sweet. I just wish there had been more to the overall story.

This was a really good book. Its a young adult book, so obviously going to be an easy read. But it was adventurous and well written. There were some really cool beautiful magic things. A few parts where I almost cried. The male characters are written beautifully. And the story unique (coming from someone who doesn’t read a lot) mild thriller

Wow, what a fun read. Not perfect but definitely enjoyable. Loved the story and the lessons on sea dragons from Hanalei and Sam. Would definitely recommend!

This was an interesting read, I enjoyed the FMC and her persistence of always putting others before her own. Her love and respect of the sea dragons was always something she never shyed away from. The magic and marking connections was an aspect i really loved. However I wish we got more time on the sea dragons, and I wish the FMC and MMC had more time together as well, their romance seemed like an after thought to me.
