I enjoyed this book. Fifth one in this series. I had hoped for more humour and wit from West. He often had excellent lines of sarcasm in books 1-4. But this one shows his emotions and fears well.

Aside from a nail, the book doesn’t have a melodramatic injury and bedside recovery. Thank goodness it doesn’t. That wasn’t something I liked in books 1-4

The intrigue from Edward could have been used more. I regret we didn’t see more dialogue between Sebastien and Phoebe but it was nice to see scenes of Sebastian and Evie and cameos from the couples/families from the wallflower series.

I loved West. He and Phoebe were cute together. That said, the plot outside of the romance wasn’t as developed as other books in this series.

This was an enjoyable re-read. The characters were fine and their relationships were alright. The plot was decent. For some reason, I find this book a little boring compared to the others.

Cute.

This was perfection. I loved Phoebe and West so so much. West was everything and more. I was worried that I wouldn’t be interested in his story, but I was in from the beginning. The way he was so good with Phoebe’s sons was adorable. The ending was rushed, I would have liked to see them be together as a little family.

I was actually pleasantly surprised to discover how much I enjoyed this book.
West’s development throughout the previous book was wonderful and read, and I was incredibly excited for his book. And, his story is definitely one you wouldn’t expect from such a character, but I actually really enjoy the tranquillity that was offered to him by the end of the book.
I understand this book isn’t for everyone, and especially not people who like the loud love proclamations screamed on rooftops, but, I really did enjoy this book and the more quiet version of love and romance.
