I’ve been really wanting to read this story. When I found out the author was re-editing the book.
It was the perfect opportunity. I was hooked from the start.
There were parts in the story that just seemed off. I don’t think “off” maybe the right word to use.
I thought some things just didn’t fit or jive or mesh.
Nevertheless I was still invested in the story and characters.
Bianca intrigued me to no end. She was a complex and intricate character.
She’s fierce and vicious. Strong willed and absolutely a capable young woman.
From the moment she sees Theo she is obsessed with him. He takes over her thoughts and actions.
Mostly everything she does revolves around him. Theo’s passion is putting away bad and evil men.
I felt there was more to him than meets the eye. I knew there would be things to uncover about him.
As the story proceeds both Bianca and Theo’s many layers start to get peeled back.
Things revealed. Secrets come to light. And pasts that come crashing into their present.
What was discovered about Theo wasn’t what I expected. I thought it was going to be something worse. Something more fitting to match Bianca and her “line of work.”
Bianca was such a smart woman. Her actions and decisions were also so thought out. So precise.
But to me it seemed like her personality changed in the blink of an eye when her secret came to light.
I loved the premise of the plot and storyline. I loved how raw and gritty it was.
I appreciate how Ms. Lancet doesn’t sugarcoat anything.
She details and describes scenes and moments to bring out the full impact of what is taking place.
Lots of action going on and the story is fast paced. There are many characters to keep up with.
But everything comes together in the end.

This book had potential, but it quickly became a mess of over-the-top drama, poorly developed characters, and unnecessary plot twists. The male main character was so weak and mid and a totally misogynistic jerk, like I don't understand why Bianca was so obsessed with him? The end, was frustrating and felt like a soap opera. I finished it, but it was a struggle. The worst book I read so far this year. I don't recommend, just please spare yourself the torture of reading this.

3.5 Star Rating; The ending is lacking, I know there needs to be a wrap up in the book but it feels rather quick and odd.

Because he is mine. He just doesn't know it yet.
Bianca Ashby is not your typical heroine. She is a sociopath, a contract assassin and a stalker.
From the moment she set eyes on Theo she knew that he is who she wants and she will go to any lengths to ensure that he becomes hers.
For many people, Bianca is a shy and soft spoken girl. She is a damsel that needs saving. She plays the role well and has everyone fooled. But she is anything but. She does not feel like any normal people which is a good thing for someone with such profession. Her inability to feel makes her exceptionally good at what she does.
But when she catches sight of Theo, her entire focus changes. Finally she has someone that she cares for more than herself. She has someone to take care of and make sure that any threat to his life is eliminated and she does that job well like the professional that she is.
Theo is a man with many layers. He is set on exacting revenge on the man that wronged him and the search for this man puts a target on his back.
Theo was captivated by Bianca's softness and her damsel in distress persona. Since the first time he laid eyes on her, he couldn't stop thinking about her. So he decides to court her an make her his wife.
This book was exceptionally good. I had previously read The War series and it was my first time reading about a female stalker protagonist and I was surprised to love it so much so I trusted Veronica to deliver yet another book with a female stalker that I would also love.
I loved how Bianca is such a mastermind. She is also sassy and very strong headed. Once she puts her mind to something there's no force that can stray her from her objectives and watching this sociopath grow feelings, genuine feelings, for another was captivating.
This book was so complex and the plot pretty intriguing. I loved how the story flowed and the plot unraveled.
Theo and Bianca's relationship was interesting to say the least, it gave Mr. and Mrs. Smiths vibes which I loved.
I loved how everything came together and the twists that veronica kept throwing at the least expecting moments. I understand that my review is rather vague but I believe reading it with as little detail as possible will add to the experience.
I want to thank Chaotic Influencers for the opportunity to read and review this book in exchange for an honest review. It was everything I need and I was not disappointed.
I cannot wait to read the next book in this series.

Nothing good to say. Wait no, i liked vlad but das it.
I was intrigued because I’ve never read a mafia romance…i regret trying something new.
Dont get me wrong it wasnt horrible, it was just so…bland. Like it was written by a novel generator.
Ive never seen so many consecutive information dumps…
