Seriously packed with action. I liked that Kate actually gets really hurt in this one. It shows she’s a little more human than in previous books, more relatable. And I love her back and forth with Curran.

Great continuation

Balls to the wall and truly a Kate Daniels book. The aftermath of stepping down as Beast Lord cars a shadow over this book and sets up the situation that Kate and Curran need to deal with. Roland makes an appearance which I found fascinating. Good read but start at the beginning.

Another fantastic Kate Daniel's read

I have really come to love these characters and will be sad to see this series end. Now that Kate and Curran are separating themselves from the pack, it is good to see those that will follow them. And I must say, I have come to also lovethe "bad guys" in this series

Kate Daniels is a series that will never get old. It's pure awesomeness! From the writing, to the world that Ilona Andrews has created, to the amazing characters...it's just FABULOUS!!! I don't look forward to a lot of series because I get disappointed quite easily, but anything and I mean, anything by Ilona Andrews has never, ever, done anything but leave me completely satisfied. *happy sigh*

Now, I have to wait for book #9. *taps fingers on desk* *looks at calendar*

There are some novels you just can't set down till you read them, you are drawn to them, you can't tear yourself from the pages and you need to know how it ends and you need to know it now. Then close to the end you realize the journey is about to end and you get melancholy as you know the wait for the sequel will start. You still finish it of course adn you feel happy and sad at the same time, and then the anticipation for the next one hits.

Kate Daniels novels are like that. I started on this series after third one was released and ever since then each one I waited with gleeful anticipation.
This one in particular I loved, seeing how it was after Kate and Curran separated from the pack and after meeting her father, I can't wait the next one to see how it all plays out, especially some of the things put into motion in this book.

Loved that Eduardo got a bigger backstory and love him and George together. I always liked him.

Love that Julie got more involved in the plot of the novel and I loved that Dali got more of an appearance outside of the short stories involving her and Jim.

I also enjoyed the clues we got about how Kate might handle her father. Should be interesting :D

Kate and Curran have left the pack. Edaurdo is kidnapped and an ifrit is threatening Atlanta, while Kate's Dad starts building a tower nearby.

I really enjoy how accepting Curran is of Kate and luckily something usually shows up that he can tear apart before she drives him crazy.
