This was a beautiful story about an uncorrupted man in a corrupted society. But it was a tiresome read at times because with the exception of the prince, the characters are very hard to like.

Lo leí hace mucho tiempo, por lo que creo que si lo leyera ahora lo entendería mejor. Sin embargo, me atrevo a poner una calificación recordando mi experiencia y tomando en cuenta lo que sé ahora: es un gran libro. Es notoria la época en la que fue escrita. Si se toma eso en cuenta, es muy disfrutable. Dostoyevski nos deja grandes lecciones.

L'idea di Dostoevskij è epica - un uomo infinitamente buono - ma è calata nel contesto storico e sociale senza che nessuna delle due parti ci rimetta.
Sì, perché anche se attorno al protagonista si intrecciano avvenimenti, citazioni e personaggi di indubbio spessore, il tema principale viene sempre mantenuto, e nel finale ritorna più forte che mai, speculare e allo stesso tempo imprevedibile.

Dostoevsky's varied characters are overflowing with life in a way that few authors can animate. The saintly prince moves like an alien through the social life of aristocratic Petersburg. He is as incomprehensible to them as they are to him. At once funny and melodramatic and realistic and deeply symbolic, this novel was an absolute pleasure to read.

The twists and turns and the way Natasya is depicted throughout the entirety of this book is incredible, this book is a work of art
