"Fate or not, our lives are still the results of our choices. I'm starting to think that when we don't own them, we don't own ourselves."

This was a really cute read. We all think about what might have been if we had done something differently in our lives and that is exactly the premise of this book. I found the characters heartwarming.

My biggest complaint? Hannah Martin and everyone around her needs to stop mentioning cinnamon rolls. I have been craving them for nearly a week thanks to her.

Taylor Jenkins Reid has now become one of my favorite writers. I started this book yesterday and finished it in the wee hours of this morning. TJR certainly knows how take the reader on a rollercoaster of emotions.

Do yourself a favor, go buy TJR's books a.s.a.p.

This book gave me a little bit of an existential crisis. Following her paths as they forked made me imagine all the ways my own life could be different from small decisions and the multiverses that could exist. Nope. Freaked me out. Some things are inevitable though and maybe it's okay to not have everything figured out.

I picked this book up from the counter of the campground laundry room because the dryer had only 11 minutes left on it and I didn't have my phone on me. It was cheesy from the beginning, but not so much as to dissuade me from continuing. It was entertaining enough in its exploration of what could happen to the protagonist if she makes one decision two different ways. Alternating chapters tell the stories of these two different paths, questioning the concept of fate. I kept thinking of the Tim Minchin song "If I Didn't Have You," and enjoying the idea of infinite universes with infinitely different lives.

I don't always love dual timelines but I actually really liked this. NEVER hurts when it's read by Julia Whelan (Libby) but I did like the story a lot! Another win for TJR in my book!
