Yikes!
King Lear‘s ego is way too fragile! The first second he thinks his favorite daughter doesn’t love him as much as the others he banishes her! Touchy!

To be fair I’m very biased since I’m named for Cordelia.

After I started reading [b:Fool|3684856|Fool|Christopher Moore|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1222208510s/3684856.jpg|3793700], which is about the fool in King Lear's court, I should probably stop, and read King Lear first.

This is definitely one of my favorite Shakespeare pieces. Right up there with Hamlet in my top 2. Great tragedy, amazing story.

The Macmillan version is nice with all of the summaries/annotations on the left pages, and the play on the right. It's a much better way of doing it than keeping those all at the end of each scene/act/book because of how often I need to check things.

A classic for a reason! This is an excellent play about aging King Lear who divides his kingdom up amongst his daughters. I was surprised at how much I related to Cordelia.

Finished this for my Shakespeare course. And I must say, this play, from me---based on my eating breakfast while yelling at the book right now, deserves a five stars. However, just when there was light at the end of the tunnel...I remembered this was a Shakespeare's TRAGEDY course and all my hopes for some of the characters I loved were dashed.
