One of my favourites in the series since the first book. We travel to a different café in Hokkaido with a slightly different cast of characters. All four stories deal with death and missing someone and I really liked the last two stories.

Every time I read another installment of this series, I am left an absolute wreck. I love the way Toshikazu Kawaguchi's writing is so direct and straightforward, yet also manages to punch you in the gut with such visceral emotions.

I loved this book, I loved the messages (especially as someone who is perpetually unimpressed and angry) and I am so glad I listened to the audiobook on Everand <3

This third book in the series is hopeful, cute and emotional like the first two books. I did not feel as strong connection to the characters as before but nevertheless the stories were beautiful!

First read of 2024! Giving it an 8/10. Similarly to the first book in this series, it’s a simple, cute read about being able to travel through time.
The book has some predictable and unpredictable moments. It is a bit cliche but does have the simple life message of “life is short - live fully”. This one particularly revolves around death a lot more than the first one did, so be warned of that. The author tells four separate stories of people traveling through time to tell their loved ones a message - however, all the stories are interconnected, which I enjoyed.
As simplistic and unrealistic as this series is, I am enjoying it and I will be reading the other books within it. I do recommend it for an easy read!

The series continues to be cute and to charm me with the subtlety of Japanese culture. Not sure anyone who hasn’t lived there would recognize the little things that make up the heart of the culture. I miss Japan. This series helps bridge that gap. Only one left!
