I don't really think Linda Howard actually wrote this book.
I mean seriously...w.t.f

The MC is no one else but the dog, the book should actually have been written from the dog's POV. Probably, I would have enjoyed it better and not felt cheated or disappointed, as I am right now.

Highly enjoyable romance by Linda Howard. The heroine is feisty, independent, and strong. The hero is an alpha male. Great secondary character in the form of the world's smartest dog. Won't rank as one of my all time favorite Linda Howard novel, but it is still a really good story.

Troublemaker served as a reminder of why I'm a Linda Howard fan, but it took me completely out of my comfort zone. I am not now, nor have I ever been a paranormal fan, but there are authors that can get me to take a chance on a new genre. Ms. Howard is one of those. Her fast paced stories have always drawn my attention. Bo and Morgan had the complexity that I love and the mystery that I crave from suspense novels. More thriller than romance this story has chops to get the heart pumping but proved a little much for my taste.

3.5⭐️ this was fine. Honestly not enough intrigue for me! No major action until the last third and I spent much of this book waiting for something to happen. That said, I enjoyed the setting and many of the characters. The romance felt too rushed and I didn’t really find any chemistry between the two leads. I would read more by this author though, this one in particular was just missing something for me.
