This is not a chapter book that you read once and then put away. The book is broken up into 4 major topics. Each chapter is filled with several pages of thought provoking statements and short paragraphs. Each one independent of the others. This is a book I keep out. When I feel myself drifting away from my practice of focus on the present moment I can open the book to any page and pick out a thought to read.

A book you should read a few pages at a time and consistently refer back to.

I have purchased three copies of this book and keep giving it away in my unbridled enthusiasm for what he has to share. Now, I have a downloaded copy on my iPod and am not planning to give it away. Many nights, laying in bed looking out at the stars, I am listening to Tolle reminding me not to take my thoughts too seriously. This book is for me what the Bible is to other people.
