I recently reread the Eye of the Needle, and this is the best espionage story set in the time of WWII that I know (I don't know too many, though). I enjoyed the characters, the fast-paced plot, the setting, the suspense and how the outcome was open until the very end of the story.
So, if you are interested in this kind of story I can highly recommend the Eye of the Needle.

My review is based on the English kindle version.

This was a quick, fun read! I think I was a little underwhelmed because I read some blurbs about how thrilling it is and some mentioned plot twists. There wasn’t really any twists so there was some suspenseful parts! Overall not my favorite thriller by any means but certainly a worth a read!

This is one of the best spy thrillers I’ve read. Much better than Follett’s later trilogies. Highly recommended!

The synopsis is interesting because the book had a long build up until the two mentioned there were actually together.

Follet tels the tale of just how its possible for a handful of people can change the world. I loved the cat & mouse game between pro and antaganists. Really good stuff. I'm now on the lookout for more by Follet.
