This was a fantastic listen, equal parts encouraging and convicting. How would my faith withstand so much fear, persecution, and loss? Would I have the courage to resist evil with so little thought to my own safety? Although I had to take regular breaks because at points by heart literally hurt, the book is very fast-paced and not overly graphic. This is apparently the only biography that combines a chronological detailing of Corrie's 6 books as well as other memoirs written by family members and fellow members of the Dutch resistance during WWII. My one complaint: Why is Corrie's personhood, role, and heroism deminished by the title?? SHE herself was a watchmaker by education and trade. The Watchmaker would have been a much more acurate title.
Graphic: Body horror, Genocide, Gun violence, Hate crime, Torture, Violence, Excrement, Antisemitism, and Grief
