Head empty. Just vibes. And nostalgia. Rani is iconic and has been since 2006 argue with the wall. I just finished reading The Folk of the Air series and this book was basically that minus the murder. Both have public humiliation and bitchy mermaids! Also, I recently decided I have what it takes to become a children’s book author. Gonna read more of these strictly for research purposes.

These Disney Fairy books are all super cute. This one isn't the best one I've read, but it is pretty good. I really like Rani.

the world building in this one ate DOWN. The fairy circle dance imagery? The mermaid world? Rani's bubble necklace and bubble messages? the FOUNTAIN Raini made only bc she was a fairy w/o wings?? Ate downnn. Also mermaids suck... except Sangonomiya Kokomi <33

For the Throwback Reading Challenge. The pure nostalgia that I felt while reading this book😌 The illustrations are beautiful, the story is simple while still discussing important topics, and I really want to read the rest of the Disney Fairies books now.
