Tropey, fluffy romance that was readable but not as good as the first one in the series. Tropes include: celebrity goes to high school, enemies to lovers, miscommunication, celebrity and regular person relationship, InstaLove. Teagan, the FMC, is an aspiring actress with a secret. Liam, the MMC, is a famous teen actor forced to go to high school for a term. They’re cast as the two leads in the school play, and that’s the centre of the story. Add in two difficult mothers - for different reasons - and some drama around Liam’s career and Teagan’s grades, and then mix in some rivalry and romance, and that’s the plot in a nutshell. I felt like both of the main characters were too Mary Sue and it made them a touch bland, but this was readable enough and I enjoy a lot of the tropes involved.
Graphic: Addiction, Alcoholism, Toxic relationship, and Alcohol
Moderate: Child abuse, Emotional abuse, Gaslighting, and Abandonment
Minor: Panic attacks/disorders
Neglect, parentification
