That was so sweet!  I loved this book so much! I’m a sucker for love stories where the characters meet each other when they’re kids and then meet again as adults and fall in love. The fact that little Meri fell in love with 17 year old Travis… they’re precious.🥺  (sorry guys, I’m sappy and sentimental!)

I really liked Meredith! I love how kindhearted she was, considerate of others. How she respected Travis and gave him time to adjust. I also admired how she sought the Lord in helping her be a good wife to Travis. She brought her desires and concerns to him. It was inspiring!
And Travis… I loved Travis! His desire to protect his family and her… he’s so sweet. 🥺 Yall, my heart. I really love protective heroes.
I loveddd the Archer brothers! I would happily fall in love with one them. Travis, Crockett, Jim, Neil… the were all great! Crockett was my fav next to Travis. He made me grin.

The romance was so sweet! I loved watching Meri and Travis fall in love.
Basically, I loved this book. A lot. My heart melted multiple times. I was smiling pretty much the whole time.

I loved the faith! The message/ theme of surrendering to God was beautifully woven in.

This has marriage of convenience trope so it is heavier on the romance. Several kisses, semi-detailed to more detailed but nothing more than that.
There’s no language and little violence. I would recommend it for 18+ since it is adult historical romance.

So I loved this book. It had danger, intrigue, romance. There’s just something about Karen Witemeyer books that draw me in. I guess I just love a good story with cowboys, strong heroines, and a country setting. ☺️
