Another new-to-me author. I loved the book. Great plot and setting, and the 4 Archer brothers, all different from each other, were awesome and entertaining

I've read several books by Karen Witemeyer and was intrigued by the plot of this book. Meredith Hayes is a spunky (heh) young lady, who isn't afraid to stand up for what she believes is right. Though a bit thoughtless at times, she is a lovable character, as is her cousin Cassie. This story is full of action as Meredith dodges a wedding to a rogue only to find herself forced into another one, this one much more promising than the first. After all Travis Archer is the man she's been dreaming about since she was 12. [Why doesn't stuff like this happen to me?]

I felt some of the parts of the book were a bit far fetched.. for instance the Archer brothers never stepped foot off their ranch? Really? Because their father died in an accident? And felt the climatical (yes I just made up a word) fight scene at the end, was chaotic to read! :)

In the end I give it three stars, I liked it!

I bought this book as a gift for a friend, but ended up reading it myself too. I was on a bit of a christian/romance kick for a few weeks. They are sure fun to read.

This story was entertaining and enjoyable to read.

It was a pretty good book. I felt the story moved at a slower pace then I would have liked. I'm not quite sure what the christian theme of the book was. Maybe Christian hospitality? Husband and Wifely duties? I like it when characters struggle with a particular sin or problem instead of a more ambiguous theme. It was still a good story though and I would suggest it to others who are fans of Christian romance.

I liked the synopsis of this book but I was hesitant because the one other book I read of this author, I really did not like the main female character. I am glad that I gave this one a chance. The characters were well developed and the plot dragged me in. There were some humorous spots and the secondary characters were likeable as well.

I wasn't quite sure about the premise to this story as it didn't seem quite plausible, but I was pleasantly surprised. From the time Travis rescued her as a young girl, Meredith has always been in love with him. But, the Archers reclusiveness always prevented her from seeing him again. But, when she overhears a conversation that will put Travis and his family and ranch at risk, Meredith risks her life and reputation to warn him.

Meredith was spunky and strong and the Travis, a charming if reluctant hero. I enjoyed their relationship and they grew together after a shotgun wedding. Another delightful story from Karen Witemeyer. It's light, but enjoyable and a perfect diversion on a warm summer afternoon.
