A fast paced, magic and passion fueled book about relationships gone wonky. The Ex Hex is perfect for curling up on the sofa with a cup of tea to read a slice of life romance style novel with magical hijinks involved for good measure.
I really enjoyed the ease I found myself being able to read this book, it felt like flying through the pages while not making the book feel very short overall. I felt like I could relate to the book as not only is it set in our world but also has links to Wales, where I have lived for a short while previously.
On the other hand, I personally don't think the epilogue was necessary to make this story complete, without spoiling anything, I realise without this final chapter the tone of the ending would have been completly different if not totally opposite feeling. But it still would have been a complete book in my eyes.
I would recommend The Ex Hex for anyone looking for a lighthearted, amusing romance story. I feel this book makes a great change of pace for those who tend to read more fantasy and complex stories, in comparision this book feels like a breath of fresh air and a good change of pace.

 “Never mix vodka and witchcraft”

I found this book in a local bookstore, and it seemed like something that I would like. I have seen it around on social media, and seem like a lighthearted romance involving witches. Do I like romance? Yes. Do I like witches? Absolutely!

Look, this isn't a bad book, in any way. But there is something about second-chances books that I can't seem to like. I think that the only book of this kind that I absolutely love is Persuasion, by Austen. The characters are interesting and funny at times, the book has a good structure, and the story is interesting enough, but, to me, it was just "meh". However, I think that this is more of me problem than a book problem. Therefore, I'm giving it a 3.5 stars rating (but I'm being a bit generous). I can also say that this has fall vibes all over, so if you like romances with fall vibes, maybe give this one a chance.

Now, the question is: will I read The Kiss Curse? Yes, probably. It seems like an enemies-to-lovers romance and that's my favorite kind of romance.

A funny, sexy, adventure to breaking a curse with a few fun unexpected twists to make it a very “girl power” story for a family of women living in a town founded by a male-centric family

It’s a perfectly lovely romance book that can easily be read in one sitting, but that’s all this book is. The plot is fairly childlike, the sex scenes are brief and dull, the dialogue is stiff, the characters are two-dimensional and the premise of the story just isn’t that good. HOWEVER, the book has a very sweet Halloween-y atmosphere, some clever lines and a few swoon-worthy scenes
(even if you’ll sometimes wonder why the main characters are trying to have sex in front of teenagers in an actual haunted house).

Worth a read if you’re looking for bite-sized romance, but whatever your expectations are - lower them.
