This was such a quick, light, fun read. The vibe it gave off to me was a Halloween Hallmark movie, but not squeaky clean. There was some adult content and some witchy magic. It's definitely a romance or rom com type book with some magic thrown it.

If you love romance or rom com books or looking for something light, this will be right up your alley. What brought my rating down is that it was a bit superficial for me, which is how I feel about most rom come style books anyway. I don't hate or dislike them by any means. They're just not normally my cup of tea.

The Ex Hex is great if you don’t want anything heavy or deep. There is no plot, the spice is more like steam and by the end it feels very one note. Despite that, it was very funny and made me laugh out loud a few times!

Quick and fun read with lovable characters. The two leads are charming with a ton of chemistry to keep you rooting for them the whole way through. It’s a tad rushed at the end, but otherwise paced well. And it has a strong Halloween theme, that makes it perfect for an October read.

4.5 ⭐s. This was everything I wanted out of a witchy romance and more. Excuse me while I chase this high by reading every other one I can get my hands on. Thank God it seems to be trending rn.

Cheesy and I still can’t get over the fact that Vivi really was hung up on someone she barely dated for three months and she continuously brings it up every other sentence.

Nine years ago, Rhys broke Vivi’s heart when they had a summer fling and she found out he was “betrothed”.  After she gives him a piece of her mind, Vivi and her cousin get drunk and playfully curse him (both are witches).  While it was meant to be playful and to help Vivi cope with the heartbreak, there was a weird incident during the “curse”.  Neither thought much of it until nine years later when Rhys returns to charge the ley lines and the curse, finally, kicks in.  The curse releases chaotic magic into the town and gradually reveals long hidden secrets.

This was fun and so adorable!  My one wish was that there maybe could have been more in regards to the chaos the magic caused.  Also, the way it was cleaned up was slightly anticlimactic.  However, still a fast-paced read and highly enjoyable!
