I rated the actual book higher. Things about the graphic audio annoyed me greatly (like how the main narrator mispronounced timbre and macabre) and the cheesiness of some of the sound choices.

I loved this book, this and Fourth Wing I couldn't put down. I will be re-reading both to get ready for book 3 in January 25. 
I loved the characters, banter, plot, everything.

This would easily be 4+ stars if half of the book wasn't just incessant bickering and relationship issues. I love the world, the characters, the dragons, the twists and turns ... but if Xaden and Violet don't get their shit together soon, I don't know if I want to continue reading.

I dont know how I finished it - 28 hours of an audiobook that consists of a mix of violence, torture and porn. I guess what kept me interested was the friendships, the dragons, and to see if Violet would decide to hate him in the end or not.
