1. The voice actors were excellent and I give them 5 stars.

2. I have never been a fan of Alicia and she continues as a trash character in this book. Alicia’s circumstance is a great example of how God does not bless and ordain nonsense. Because Alicia and Levi professed to be Christians, I don’t believe in the notion that Levi was her soul mate based on their history of starting their relationship by committing adultery (and committed the sin twice). It’s an example of a relationship starting and continuing to operate based on lies, lust and sex which is outside of God’s will.

3. I preferred Melanie’s storyline dealing with an eating disorder and unresolved parental issues with her mother. Unfortunately in the black community we do not believe in counseling which often times leads to catastrophe.

4. I prefer reading about Curtis and Charlotte’s train wreck of a relationship and foolishness and am not a fan of their children’s drama.

I really would like to give this book 4.5 stars. It is one of my favorites in the Reverend Curtis Black Series. I love that Kimberla Lawson Roby allows us to look deeper in what I call “supporting character’s” lives! There are some great plot twists and she again entertains us while touching on real life issues.

Curtis Black Series

This series has always been my favorite. It could go on forever. The author does such a good job a fast and easy read. With a lot of great messages for everyone. There is always a couple of messages that hit me and help me become a better person.

Excellent story and an "explosive" ending! I can't wait for the next book in this series.

Juicy, messy, and page turning as usual!! I love Kimberla Lawson Roby! She writes such good, messy stories that are completely relatable cause sometimes life just gets messy. The book is aptly titled The Ultimate Betrayal cause hunty it’s so much betrayal in this book!!!! I recommend if you just want a messy, quick read that’s like a soap opera!

This book itself was nothing to write home about, with every type of villainous character, barely covert affair, and groundbreaking final 20 pages I've come to expect from this series.

The "all alone" end it brings for Alicia, though, does potentially break some new ground for the thirteenth novel...we'll see soon!

This is the 12th and last book in the Reverend Curtis Black series and it was just as good as the first. There is enough cheating, lying and betrayal to keep any reader thoroughly engaged and entertained.

Bored me. Maybe because I've recently read a lot of mysteries that have kept me guessing. The last two chapters were the only good ones. The others only seemed to repeat the same things over and over.

Awesome

Alicia is at it again. Her husband finally forgave her and they were on the right track. Brad surprised me. Didnt see that but was good twist on things. This was another awesome read in this series.
