Oh the emotional damage that this put me through, but I ate it all up. I've read the entire series and am now writing my reviews. The Unwanted Wife reigns as my favorite from this series.

It wasn't quite the sob fest, but there were definitely tears, so grab those tissues. Because what Sandro emotionally puts Theresa through, oof, make them suffer!

To me there was more depth in the first half than the second. It really is one thing after another between them and he's just so callous. And to have this going on for nearly 18 months, that's a lot to come back from.

Once the truth is revealed, we see a different side to Sandro. But the damage is done and Theresa (rightfully) doesn't give into him and his sudden change. Like I said, make him suffer and oh she does.

I thought the pacing was great, the FMC is so, so strong. And stays true to themselves as they navigate the aftermath. Definitely thought there was more room for groveling when it came to Sandro. I liked that even after the reconciliation, the trust still wasn't fully there, but willingness to keep moving forward. And even by the end, you can still sense that Sandro would be making up for what he's done for a very long time.

So yeah, absolutely loved this one and will definitely be re-reading soon!
