It was readable. The characters were all so unlikeable and there was nothing else to keep the reader entertained. It was a slog to get through and most of the “twists” were easily guessable as they happened. I’ve read another Tyce novel and loved it and was really looking forward to this book because of that, however I was thoroughly disappointed. Also, would’ve appreciated a TW for very graphic depictions of rape - it’s like the focus for the whole second part of the book. If I could prevent anyone else from having to read that I would. (I promise that is not a spoiler)

Quick and easy read and an unpredictable ending but some twists were predictable

I found this book very hard to read. I got to page 150 and I worked out what was going happen in the rest of the book by the way the book was written and I was right. There was a few bits that shocked me but no too much. The murder trail gets over shadowed by the affair and the evil husband in the book. The book was so boring and some of the characters were so annoying as well. For a debut book it wasn’t that good. If am been honest xx

Finally a thriller that hit the spot for me! I went in blind and I had no idea what to expect but this book was a gripping page-turner. The characters are all so unlikeable. The lack of respect, empathy and human decency was unreal. The whole mood and setting of the book was so dark, toxic and disturbing be sure to check trigger warnings! The pacing was very well done in my opinion and even though I guessed a main twists it did not make the reading experience less enjoyable. I had this book sitting on my shelf for a very long time but I'm very happy I finally got around to reading it!
