The writing was sloppy and pretty badly done, yet the plot and realness of the characters made it so enjoyable I couldn't book the down. Finished within 24 hours. Amazing twist (an incredibly twisted one at that) at the end!

I had much bigger expectations for this book. The plot was easy to call out. All the characters were extremely unlovable. All the relationships were toxic. The main character I found to be annoying. The men in her life were also awful. The ending seems to be what everyone loves, but it was bland.

I really enjoyed it! It's a good commentary on gaslighting and is full of toxic relationships and questions that are not easy to answer. It didn't really focus on the main case that Alison is working on, but on Allison's life and I think that made me like the book more. The only thing I disliked about it is that the characters are not likeable in any way. I understand the character can and should be flawed in a way, but I honestly couldn't bring myself to care about anyone including Alison herself. Still, read it in a day and really enjoyed it.
