I don’t know, it’s cute. Not much to say but if it was a romcom I would watch it, and I’m not a romance person. I could practically picture it as a movie while reading it

This book has so many sweet little moments, I really enjoy all the silly Christmas activities that the characters do. My favorite part is the baby reindeer!!
I didn't really enjoy the romance, the "fake dating her brother" thing is a bit too awkward for me to suspend my disbelief. I think the characters were cute, though! I know I'm reading a romance novel and characters fall into true love very quickly, but gosh these girlies were out here risking their whole relationship to Kit's parents over a meet-cute that had potential. Was it a fun romance? Yes, absolutely. Was I yelling at my audiobook like a man watching a football game? Yes. Did I have to take breaks because the second-hand awkward feeling became unbearable? Also yes. I feel like I may have been biased because I've been reading a lot of period romance, and suspending my disbelief is really easy when the whole world is made up. I think I struggled because the characters were a bit too real and relatable? And when something felt too much like fiction it really stood out.
Haf is likeable and believably awkward, which I like. All the characters also had very clear characterization: Kit is fun, Chris is well-meaning but oblivious, Laurel is hot, and Ambrose is cool. The parents are all posh and rich.
Overall, I liked this book. I think the genre isn't for me--I'm a sci-fi/fantasy girlie at heart . That said, I enjoyed reading a cute queer romance with cute little Christmas moments to get into the holiday spirit!!

A fluffy, sapphic holiday romance. Not too much meat to the story, but that's fine, that's not what I was looking for. I appreciated the disability and queer representation throughout the novel.
